Campaigning to end the destitution of refused Asylum Seekers

Refused Asylum seekers get no food or money to buy food from the Government. Often, their only source of food are Destitution Projects run by charities who provide a basic food parcel each week.

Ben and Ben will take the Boaz Trust Endurance Challenge. The Boaz Trust work with Destitute Asylum Seekers in Manchester and have issued this challenge to encourage people to try and survive on a Red Cross Food Parcel for a week.

Both Bens will only have 1 food parcel each per week. A Red Cross Food Parcel contains:

Vegetable Oil (one bottle – issued fortnightly)
Carton of Orange or Apple Juice (1)
Carton of Milk (1)
Bar of Chocolate (1)
Salted Peanuts (250 g)
Packet of Biscuits (1)
Tea Bags (14)
Loaf (Sliced - white or brown) (1)

Dried Goods
Package of Spaghetti or Pasta Shapes
Rice (250 g)
Sugar (250 g)
Salt (250 g)
Semolina (250 g)
Stock cube (1)

Tinned Goods
Tin of spaghetti in tomato sauce (1)
Tin of soup (1)
Tin of baked beans (1)
Tin of Plum Tomatoes (1)
Tin of Garden Peas (1)
Tin of Chick Peas (1)
Tin of Hotdogs (1)
Small tin of Sweet Corn (1)
Small tin of Tuna (1)
